Carter, David --- "Foreword" [2002] VUWLawRw 15; (2002) 33(3&4) Victoria University of Wellington Law Review i

Foreword

It is with pleasure that the Victoria University of Wellington Law Review publishes this issue. It is, indeed, a very special issue. This collection of essays constitutes the result of a learned, but enjoyable conference to honour Sir Ivor Richardson on his retirement as President of the Court of Appeal. The conference, entitled "Roles and Perspectives in the Law", was held in early April 2002 at Victoria University of Wellington Law School. These papers were presented at the conference or are papers written specifically in light of that conference, in honour of Sir Ivor.

The Law Review warmly thanks each of the contributors, and also wishes to thank the following student editors for their editing efforts, Emma Harding, Arna Macintyre Daly, Miriam Plume, and Genevieve Poirier. Thank you also to the Editorial Committee, with special mention to Geoff McLay and Caroline Morris.

The Law Review is especially pleased to honour Sir Ivor Richardson for the inspiration given to those who follow him at our law school.

Kia kaha, kia manawanui, kia u. Tena koutou, katoa.
