2. The Road Ordinance 1856

Title.

1. Interpretation Clause.

2. Provincial Engineer to superintend works and advise.

Notes.

This Ordinance was passed by the Canterbury Provincial Council on 10th April

1856, and assented to by the Superintendent, Charles Bowen, on the 26th April. It was repealed by the “Road Districts Ordinance, Session 20, No. 19, 1863.

The full text of this Ordinance was not included in the Volume of Ordinances published by Charles Lucas, the Official Printer of the Canterbury Provincial Government.
