7. The Volunteers Service Ordinance Amendment Ordinance
1865.
Analysis. Preamble.
1. Repealing Clause.
2. Money to be paid to Commanding Officer under certain conditions.
3. Ordinance to be read as part of “Volunteer Service Ordinance 1864.”
4. Title.
Whereas an Ordinance was passed by the Superintenden and Provincial Council
of the Province of Canterbury, enituled “The Volunteer
Service Ordinance
1864” And whereas it is expedient that the said Ordinance should be
amended:
Be it therefore enacted by the Superintendent of the said Province, with the
advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof,
as follows:
1. Repealing Clause.
That the Third Section of the said Ordinance shall be and the same is hereby
repealed.
2. Money to be paid to Commanding Officer under certain conditions.
It shall be lawful for the said Superintendent quarterly and every quarter to
cause to be issued and paid out of the Public Revenues
of the Province to the
Commanding Officer or to such person as may be duly authorised by such
Commanding Officer in that behalf a
sum of money at the rate of Seven Shillings
and Sixpence for each man included in every return mentioned in the second
section of
he said recited Ordinance for the immediately preceding quarter and
the receipt of the Commanding Officer or of he person duly authorised
by him as
aforesaid shall be a good and sufficient discharge to the Provincial Treasurer
for any moneys so issued and paid by him
in accordance with the warrant of the
Superintendent under the provisions of this Ordinance.
3. Ordinance to be read as part of “Volunteer Service Ordinance
1864.” This Ordinance shall be deemed and considered as
part of “The
Volunteer Service Ordinance 1864.”
4. Title.
This Ordinance shall be entituled and may be cited as "The Volunteer Service
Orddinance Amendment Ordinance 1866.”
