Duration of endorsements
33C Duration of endorsements
1 An endorsement made under section 30 or 30B
on a firearms licence held by an employee of a licensed dealer for the
purposes of their employment with the dealer continues in force for 1 year
after the date on which the endorsement was made, unless one of the following
first occurs: a) the employee’s firearms licence expires:
b) the
employee’s firearms licence is surrendered or revoked:
c) the licensed
dealer’s licence expires:
d) the licensed dealer’s licence is surrendered
or revoked:
e) the relevant endorsement made under section 30 or 30B on the
licensed dealer’s licence is revoked:
f) the employee ceases to be employed
by the licensed dealer.
2 However, unless earlier revoked or surrendered, an
endorsement made under section 30B at any time after 12 April 2019 on a
firearms licence held by a person described in section 4A(1)(f), (g), (h),
(i), or (j) continues in force until the earlier of the following dates: a)
the date that is 2 years and 6 months after the date on which the endorsement
was made:
b) the date on which the licence— i) is surrendered or revoked;
or
ii) expires.
3 Unless earlier revoked or surrendered, an endorsement made
under section 30 or 30B on a firearms licence held by any other person, or on
a dealer’s licence, continues in force for so long as the licence continues
in force.
