A person commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or to a fine not exceeding $20,000, if the person,—a) with intent to deceive,—i) adds to a licence any words or figures extraneous to the licence as issued; orii) alters on or erases from any licence any words or figures; oriii) uses or retains any licence—A) to which have been added any words or figures extraneous to the licence as issued; orB) from which any words or figures have been erased from the licence as issued; orC) on which any words or figures on the licence as issued have been altered; orb) being the holder of a licence, wilfully parts with possession of that licence in order that it may be used by another person; orc) uses or attempts to use a licence issued in the name of another person with the intention of procuring the possession of any firearm, airgun, pistol, restricted weapon, magazine, or ammunition; ord) supplies particulars or answers in any application for a licence under this Act, knowing them to be incorrect or misleading.
