COMMERCE ACT 1986 - SECT 12
Chairperson and deputy chairperson
1 One member appointed under section 9(2) must be appointed by the
Governor-General, on the recommendation of the responsible Minister, as
chairperson and another must be appointed as deputy chairperson.
2 The
chairperson and deputy chairperson may only be removed from office as
chairperson or deputy chairperson for just cause.
3 In other respects,
clauses 1(2) and (3) and 4(2) and (3) of Schedule 5 of the
Crown Entities Act 2004 apply to the appointment and removal of the
chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Commission.
