Process for making or amending Commission service quality code
57ZI Process for making or amending Commission service quality code
1 To
make a Commission service quality code, the Commission must— a) give public
notice of the process that it will follow to make the code; and
b) consult
the Water Services Authority—Taumata Arowai and other interested persons;
and
c) give public notice of a draft code.
2 A person is entitled to make a
submission to the Commission not later than 30 working days after the date on
which the Commission gives public notice of the draft code.
3 The Commission
must— a) take reasonable steps to identify classes of vulnerable consumers;
and
b) consider the impact of the provision of services on vulnerable
consumers and take the interests of those persons into account when making the
code.
4 The Commission may make the code only if satisfied that the draft
code meets all the requirements set out in this subpart.
5 The Commission may
amend or revoke and replace the code if the Commission considers that the code
should be changed to better promote the purpose of this Part.
6 The same
procedure that applies to making a code in subsections (1) to (4) must be
followed to make an amendment or a revocation and replacement, with any
necessary modifications, except that subsections (1) to (4) do not apply if
the Commission is satisfied that an amendment is non-material.
