Conferences in relation to business acquisitions
69B Conferences in relation to business acquisitions
1 Before making a
determination under section 66(3) or section 67(3) in relation to an
acquisition, the Commission may determine to hold a conference and shall
appoint a date, time, and place for the holding of the conference and give
notice of the date, time, and place so appointed and of the matters to be
considered at the conference to the persons entitled to be present at the
conference.
2 The provisions of section 64 shall apply to every conference
held under this section as if— a) every reference in that section to a
conference called under section 62 , were a reference to a conference held
under this section; and
b) the reference in subsection (1)(b) of that
section to a person to whom a draft determination was sent under section 62(2)
, were a reference to the person by or on whose behalf a notice was given
under section 66(1) or section 67(1) , as the case may be; and
c) the
reference in subsection (6) of that section to a determination in respect of
an application, were a reference to a determination under section 66(3) or
section 67(3) , as the case may be.
