HARASSMENT ACT 1997 - SECT 21
Duration of restraining order
1 A restraining order may be made for such period (whether longer or shorter
than 1 year) as the court considers necessary to protect the applicant from
further harassment.
2 A restraining order continues in force until— a) it
is discharged under section 23 ; or
b) where the court directs that the order
is to be in force for a specified period, the expiry of that period; or
c) in
the absence of such a direction, the expiry of 1 year from the date on which
the order is made.
