LEGISLATION ACT 2019 - SECT 136
Parliamentary counsel
136 Parliamentary counsel
1 The Chief Parliamentary Counsel may appoint such
people to be parliamentary counsel as the Chief Parliamentary Counsel thinks
necessary for the efficient performance or exercise of the functions, duties,
and powers of the Chief Parliamentary Counsel and the PCO.
2 A parliamentary
counsel must hold a legal qualification.
3 A parliamentary counsel is an
employee for the purposes of the Employment Relations Act 2000 .
