148 Review of revision programme provisions after 30 June 2020
1 The
Attorney-General must, as soon as practicable after 30 June 2020, require the
Chief Parliamentary Counsel to prepare a report on— a) the need for, and
operation and effectiveness of, sections 59 to 62 and subpart 3 of Part 3 (and
the corresponding provisions under the Legislation Act 2012 ); and
b) whether
any amendments to any of those provisions are necessary or desirable.
2 The
Attorney-General must ensure that the persons and organisations that the
Attorney-General thinks appropriate are consulted during the preparation of
the report about the matters to be considered in the report.
3 The
Attorney-General must present a copy of the report to the House of
Representatives as soon as practicable after the Attorney-General receives the
report.
4 This section is repealed on 1 July 2021.
