Consultation with Privacy Commissioner
29A Consultation with Privacy Commissioner
Where an Ombudsman investigates a complaint made under section 27 in relation
to a refusal to make official information available in reliance on
section 7(2)(a) , the Ombudsman shall, before forming a final opinion under
section 30 in relation to the merits of refusing that request on that ground,
consult with the Privacy Commissioner under the Privacy Act 2020 .

Local Government Official Information and Meetings Amendment Act 1993 (1993
No 37). Section 29A: amended, on 1 December 2020, by section 217
of the Privacy Act 2020 (2020 No 31).
